From the Truck to the Table

It started with a truck. Taco TeTe was a food truck right here on Charlotte Pike — a small operation with a big heart, run by a family that brought the real flavors of Mexico to Nashville one taco at a time.

The food spoke for itself. Word spread. The line got longer. And eventually, the truck wasn't big enough for what this family had to offer.

Tampico Restaurant & Tienda is what came next — a full sit-down restaurant built on the same lot, cooking the same family recipes that made Taco TeTe a neighborhood staple. Nothing was outsourced. Nothing was simplified. Just authentic Mexican cuisine, made from scratch, every single day.

We're not fine dining and we're not fast food. We're family food — the kind that takes time to make right, because that's the only way we know how to make it.
